Quilting was the crown of my Mother's handwork history, She spent years expressing herself through small pieces of fabric carefully stitched together to form her unique designs. Mom still had work in progress on her quilting board when she passed away. My appreciation for quilts and all things textiles largely stems from her influence.
During the June 10th Cheyenne Artwalk, I will be featuring another group of ladies who are dedicated to promoting the art and history of quilting, the Cheyenne Heritage Quilters. Monthly meetings, an annual quilt show and outreach programs makes this and active group of quilt enthusiasts! Several guild members will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss quilting with art tour goers AND you'll have an opportunity to buy tickets for their opportunity quilt, Spring Flight.
